the workshop

Ayelen Liberona & partners are now offering exclusive Camera on Dance workshops that support participants through their own explorations of a whole new realm of possibilities for filming and experiencing dance on film.  Throughout the workshop participants will have the opportunity to play and experiment with the modular “Far-Out” body-cam-rig equipment and cameras. They will experience exciting new perspectives on movement where the dancer becomes the manipulator of the subject-object relationship and the guiding “eye” of the film.

Group discussions will evolve around notions of composition, framing, the narrative possibilities of movement as well as being introduced to the potentials and challenges of relational technology and responsive media. Participants will be guided to move with each other and in alternative spaces, responding to different environments, landscapes and architectural designs through the use of improvisational techniques. The workshop will conclude with the collective creation of a film made by the participants and supported by Ayelen and partners.
